01

What it's for

A self-powered security camera for places that have no power point, no Wi‑Fi and nobody around. It charges from its own solar panel, connects over 4G or Wi‑Fi, and sends what it sees to your phone.

Location
The problemWhat the Guardian does

L1Farm gate

The problem

Vehicles come and go unannounced, and the gate is a long walk from the house.

What it does

Alerts your phone when someone arrives. Zoom in to see who it is, day or night.

L2Back shed

The problem

No power out there, and running a cable means a trench and an electrician.

What it does

Runs on sun. Two‑way audio and a siren let you deal with a visitor from the house.

L3Bush block

The problem

You're only there some weekends, and there's no internet for kilometres.

What it does

The 4G model runs on its own SIM and watches the gate while you're away.

L4Building site

The problem

Tools, materials and boxed appliances sit on an empty slab every night.

What it does

Screws to a frame stud with no power connected. Colour night vision covers the slab.

L5House and driveway

The problem

Most cameras need wiring, an installer and a monthly plan.

What it does

The Wi‑Fi model sits under an eave and pans 360°. No wiring, no subscription.

02

What's in the box

Everything needed to mount it on a post, wall, gate or shed. You won't need a trench, an electrician or a cable back to the house.

The Guardian kit laid out on a timber workbench: camera head, solar panel, bracket, screws and wall plugs, panel cable, USB-C cable and a microSD card

4G or Wi‑Fi

Pick by coverage at the mounting spot, not by price. Both models are the same camera with the same panel; only the connection differs. You choose per camera in the requisition.

Model A

4G

4G device requires a SIM card to function!

  • NeedsPhone signal at the spot and its own Telstra or Optus SIM
  • SuitsFarms, stations, remote sheds, bush blocks, building sites
  • RangeAs far from the house as the mobile network reaches

Model B

Wi‑Fi

Wi‑Fi camera needs your router nearby.

  • NeedsYour router's signal at the mounting spot. No SIM.
  • SuitsDriveways, sheds near the house, side gates, shop fronts
  • RangeWherever your Wi‑Fi or Starlink reaches reliably

Rule

If your Wi‑Fi doesn't reach the spot, or you're not sure: choose 4G.

06

Before you mount

Five checks at the spot, before the first screw goes in. Tick them off as you go.

07

Mounting and operation

Most owners are watching within minutes. Bracket, screws and a USB‑C charging cable are supplied; no trench, no electrician, no cable back to the house.

1

Mount it

Post, wall, gate or shed. The camera head is about the size of a large coffee mug; the panel is roughly A4.

2

Point the panel north

Several hours of direct sun a day keeps it charged. The cable reaches 1.8 m, so chase the light.

3

Open the app

Free on iOS and Android. Follow the steps, add your family, and it starts watching.

Troubleshooting

SituationWhat to know

T‑01

No Wi‑Fi at the location

Choose the 4G model. It connects over the mobile network on its own Telstra or Optus SIM, like your phone. No router or internet needed at the spot. Works in 5G areas and is Starlink compatible.

T‑02

Several cloudy days in a row

The battery holds 4+ days with no sun, and the 7.5W panel tops it up as soon as there's daylight. Keep the panel facing north and clear of shade.

T‑03

Trees moving set off alerts

AI human detection alerts on people, not wind in the trees, so you aren't woken by a branch.

T‑04

Heat, dust or salt air

Rated IP66: sealed against dust and protected against heavy rain. Built for extreme heat, outback dust and coastal salt air.

T‑05

Ongoing costs

No subscription, ever. Footage saves to the included 64GB SD card and syncs to your phone. The 4G model needs its own SIM with a data plan from your phone company.
