How to use

Simple 3-Step Guide

Step 1: Insert The Batteries Simply slide open the back cover of the main alarm unit. Insert the required batteries (usually included) according to the +/- indicators inside the compartment and slide the cover back on.

Step 2: Peel & Stick Installation

  • Clean the Surface: Wipe the area on your door and its frame where you want to place the alarm to ensure the adhesive sticks properly.
  • Align and Stick: Peel the backing from the adhesive strips. Place the main alarm unit on the frame and the smaller magnetic strip on the door itself.
  • IMPORTANT: The two parts must be very close together (less than 1cm apart) when the door is closed. Make sure the small arrows on the side of each part are aligned and pointing at each other.

Step 3: Arming & Disarming

  • To Arm: When you want the alarm to be active (e.g., at night or when you leave the house), simply flick the switch on the side of the main unit to the ON position.
  • To Disarm: Before you open the door, flick the switch back to the OFF position. This will prevent the alarm from sounding.

If the alarm is armed and the door is opened, the high-decibel siren will sound immediately, continuing until the door is closed or the unit is switched off.

How loud is the alarm? Will I be able to hear it from upstairs?

The alarm features a high-decibel siren (90dB), which is extremely loud—comparable to a smoke alarm. It is designed to be startling enough to deter an intruder on the spot and is more than loud enough to be clearly heard throughout a typical British home, including from upstairs.

What type of batteries does it use and how long do they last?

The alarm uses standard AAA batteries. With typical daily use (arming and disarming once a day), a fresh set of batteries will last for 6-12 months. We recommend replacing them annually to ensure optimal performance.

What happens if I accidentally open the door when it's armed?

The alarm will sound immediately, which shows it's working perfectly! To stop it, simply close the door and flick the switch on the side of the unit to the 'OFF' position. There is no complicated process; just switch it off to instantly silence it.
